In 2018, when I finished my M.Phil. at Zhejiang University, I started my career in international business and was exposed to many different challenges as a young woman professional in China. Back then, Daniela Sena invited me to co-create with her, and help her grow the community. I accepted right away, it was one of the best moves of my early career. It was an opportunity to reinvent myself and grow my network with other women in the area.

Being around a diverse group of people inspire me a lot. Innovation comes from diversity. I still remember the second event we organized which we had over 60 different nationalities in a room.

We all wanted to succeed, life abroad is hard enough, specially when you come from a very sexist society like Brazil, it doesn’t matter what is your background, women are expected to do certain kinds of things. But in that international room, we knew we wanted more than the existing patterns of the society, and at that point helping each other out looked like a good way to start.

I feel encouraged by self-knowledge and connecting to my ancestrality.

When I started to learn more deeply where I come from, and who I really am I valued much more many of my choices, actions, my time, the energy exchanged between me and the people around. Courage for me is: understanding the knowledge that we all have within us, and being capable and brave enough to put it out there, bringing value to other people.

Through a genuine face-to-face conversation, over a drink, or doing something that both have a common interest in. I like to learn from other people, so I always ask a lot of questions and try to make sure I am also providing value to the person listening.
