Christine Marote is the SheUp Woman of the Month for August! A blogger, author, and influencer, she will be chatting with Thauana through IGTV on Friday August 9th on what she learned from the dragon.
Christine moved to Shanghai in January of 2009 after traveling for four years from São Paulo, Brazil to Chang Chun in China’s Jilin province. After starting her blog, China Na Minha Vida (China In My Life), she found her passion for writing and researching Chinese culture. What started as a diary of an expat became a source of information and a constant search for answers to the many questions that China poses to foreigners living within its borders.
In addition to writing, Christine is also a speaker on Chinese culture and provides advice to people and companies from Brazil that come to China for tourism or business. She has a background in Education and attended the “MBA-China Business and Culture” event hosted at Jiaotong University in Shanghai. Her books include China Na Minha Vida - O Que Aprendi com o Dragão (China In My Life - What I Learned from the Dragon) and Coletânea Reedificacões - Historias de Mulheres Que se Reinventaram Pelo Mundo (Reedifications Collection - Stories of Women Who Reinvented themselves Around the World).
